As an agent of the shirt of support, I am always interested in acquiring first-hand experience of different programs, then uninstall from my computer. And during the uninstall process, something unexpected will happen and take some time to settle.

A typical example is the other day when my colleague and I tried uninstalling esset NOD32 Antivirus (4.0.474.0) of our computers and I had promised the same method as my colleague. We all have uninstalled esset NOD32 Antivirus (4.0.474.0) with a deputy to uninstall, then restart the computer. But the steps of applying the same operation on different computers are different. I've always found effective in my computer while it is totally dedicated to my colleague's computer. What a joke!

I tried to use the road as an advanced computer user might think, delete keys and values named Aset NOD32 Antivirus on the Windows Registry Editor manually. Usually, this method works. Obviously I was not so lucky this time, have Nod32 Antivirus and highly integrated with the service system and associated system components.

Then it turned to be a professional case. With some professional tools, we recognized the leftovers of Esset Nod32 Antivirus that still affected the computer and worked out a solution in the following:

1) Boot the computer in safe mode

2) Manually delete the below things in the Registry Editor Window:

C:WINDOWSsystem32driverseamon.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversehdrv.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversepfw.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversepfwndis.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversepfwtdi.sys

3) Use Force Uninstall function of Quusoft uninstaller developed by one of our cooperative partners to remove files form the below directory:

C:Program FilesESET
C:Documents and Settings All UsersApplication DataESET

4) Boot the computer in common mode. Since the leftovers of ESET were too powerful, the network connection failed. And we had to perform these steps: my computer->my network place-> view network connection -> double-click to open local area connections status-> property-> select ESET and then click Uninstall-> restart your computer-> if network connection is still not available, reset the Internet protocol(IP)

The whole process was so complex and if I were a common computer user, I guess I should have described it with a word "crazy", right?

Anyhow, the computer brings us great convenience and Eset Nod32 Antivirus is not bad and a popular anti-virus software. We should allow life sometimes has an episode. Enjoy using your computer!
